Canada-based bulk carrier Trimac Corp. will deploy TMW System’s PowerSuite software
at 34 terminals acquired when Trimac purchased DSI, a bulk carrier based in Houston.
PowerSuite is a Windows-based client-server software product for truckload operations. The product runs a PowerBuilder graphical Windows front-end on a Sybase or Microsoft SQL Server database engine.
Trimac of Calgary, Alberta, operates over 3,200 power units from 135 terminal locations in North America.
"We knew right away that we needed to move all of DSI's operations to PowerSuite to achieve the benefits of running our entire business on a single system," said Al Kobie, Trimac’s Director of Operations Development. "We anticipate tremendous synergies between DSI and our existing operations."
