Interstate 4 in central Florida is now open again after being closed for 10 days by a wildfire.

Barricades had blocked a 10-mile stretch of the highway since Feb. 17, because heavy smoke from a huge swamp fire southwest of Orlando had limited visibility. Burned trees also fell onto the road, and cattle wandered onto the highway after escaping through burned fences.
A 3,000-foot pipeline was built from two nearby ponds so the median could be flooded for two days to put out the fire.
Detours had added as much as an hour to the 90-minute trip between Orlando and Tampa.
