Weyerhaeuser Co., one of the world's largest forest products companies, is closing down its Green Arrow Motor Express trucking subsidiary and will outsource its transportation needs.

The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association reports that 14 employees and 74 leased owner-operators at the Rocky Mount, N.C., company were told this week that the company will be shut down Feb. 2.
Weyerhaeuser has offered a $600 incentive to owner-operators who will stay until the last day, according to OOIDA. Company spokesman told the association that all escrow funds and other money owed to truckers has been set aside and will be fully refunded to the owner-operators.
