The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced lane closures for this weekend on I-95 in Springfield.

Two lanes on the northbound side of I-95 between Exit 169 and Commerce Street Bridge will be shut down most of next week for bridge demolition and construction.
On the I-95’s southbound side, one lane will be shut down from the Commerce Street Bridge to the Franconia-Springfield Parkway for bridge construction, and two left lanes will be closed between I-495 and the Parkway for bridge work and demolition.
The delays are due to the extensive reconstruction project on the I-95 interchange known as the "mixing bowl." For more information, go to www.springfieldinterchange.com.
