Software provider Maddocks Systems of Langley, British Columbia, Canada, has released an interface for its TruckMate software and the Terion mobile communications system.

The company announced the interface has been installed in the 42-truck fleet of A-C Motor Express, a controlled temperature carrier based in West Springfield, Mass.
The new Communications Manager Module, as the interface is called, works with Version 4.0 of Maddocks' TruckMate for Windows software, which was introduced last October. The module will give Maddocks customers using Terion's communication software up-to-the-minute trip status information and automated data exchange between drivers and dispatch.
According to a press release issued jointly by Maddocks and Terion, Terion expects several carriers in Canada and U.S. to follow the lead of A-C Motor Express.
