Transportation software developer Profit Tools of Newmarket, N.H., has released an interface to link its operations and customer service software to popular mobile communications products
such as those from Qualcomm, PeopleNet and @Road.
The interface integrates with Profit Tools' document imaging and online customer service products, completing a channel from driver to customer for critical data – proofs of delivery, for example. Of course, the interface also provides critical driver-dispatch communication.
According to Quenton Eastman of Profit Tools, there will soon be an interface with the Terion mobile communications system. He said the company is also working on an interface with mobile systems using the Palm operating system.
Profit Tools provides operations software for small to medium sized fleets in the truckload, less-than-truckload, air freight and intermodal markets. According to Eastman, it is the only software that addresses all those markets, even in combinations.
