Flatbed carrier Intrenet Inc. has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection,
according to published reports.
The Milford, Ohio-based company, which shut down its four trucking subsidiaries Jan. 2 and announced it would liquidate, says it needs court protection while it continues to close operations and liquidate assets, reports the Associated Press.
John Chandler has reportedly been removed as president and CEO. Chairman Thomas Noonan has assumed his duties.
Intrenet subsidiaries Advanced Distribution Systems, Eck Miller, Roadrunner Trucking and Roadrunner Distribution Services have each filed separate bankruptcy petitions.
