76 Lubricants Co., a division of Tosco Corp., has agreed to purchase Sunoco’s Kendall motor oil brand.

Tosco will also purchase customer lists and other related assets for both the Sunoco and Kendall brands.
The company said 76 Lubricants will serve the additional business through its existing network of proprietary and contract terminals. The transaction is expected to close during first quarter 2001. Terms were not disclosed.
Tosco claims to be the largest independent refiner and marketer of petroleum products in the U.S. and the nation’s largest operator of company-controlled convenience stores.
