RailAmerica has sold certain assets and business of its Canadian- based specialty truck trailer manufacturing subsidiary, Trois-Rivieres Trailers, Inc. (formerly Kalyn/Siebert Canada/Fabrex) to the Canam Manac Group of Saint-Georges, Quebec, for approximately $6 million.

The proceeds from this sale were used to complete the payoff of the remaining portion of the company's high-interest bridge loans. RailAmerica is in the process of liquidating other assets of Trois-Rivieres Trailers valued at approximately $3 million.
Trois-Rivieres Trailers, Inc., acquired by RailAmerica in 1998, manufacturers specialty bulk-hauling, lightweight aluminum truck trailers used in the solid waste, agricultural and construction industries. The Canam Manac Group is an industrial company specializing in the fabrication of steel joists and construction components, semi-trailers and forestry equipment in Canada, the United States, Mexico and France.
