Canadian-based Inland Kenworth is adding Albuquerque Truck Center to its stable of truck and equipment dealerships.

According to a report in the Albuquerque Journal, owner Roy Lampsa is selling the nine-year-old dealership to Inland Kenworth, a 51-year-old business that employs about 900 people.
"We feel very strongly about diversification of our business into the U.S.," Inland General Manager Jim Beiderwieden told the paper. Beiderwieden also said the company is excited about the potential for vocational sales at the New Mexico dealership.
In addition to Albuquerque, Inland Kenworth has centers in Farmington, N.M.; Phoenix and Tuscson, Ariz.; Los Angeles and Fontana, Calif.; and 16 dealerships in Canada.
Lampsa and his current staff will stay on with the dealership, which will remain at its present location at the corner of Interstate 25 and Candelaria.
