Flying J Inc., a petroleum exploration, production, refining, marketing and retailing company best known to truckers as a truckstop chain, is moving its corporate headquarters in Utah from Brigham City to Ogden.
The move is aimed at consolidating corporate activities, said Flying J President Phillip Adams. Approximately 250 employees of Flying J subsidiaries already occupy space on the second and third floors of Ogden's Washington Mutual building, which Flying J has agreed to purchase.
It will also buy the nearby Aerospace office center and parking terrace.
The company, with $2.7 billion in annual sales, operates more than 130 travel plazas, convenience stores, restaurants, motels and truck service centers in the United States and Canada and has more than 10,000 employees.
