In a telephone press conference Tuesday, Logistics.com announced that founder Dr. Yossi Sheffi would step down as CEO.

Sheffi will be replaced by John Lanigan, a former Schneider National executive who has been Logistics.com’s chief operating officer for nine months. However, Sheffi will remain chairman of the board.
Meanwhile, former managing director, executive vice president of technology and product strategy Carl Drisko was named president.
Sheffi will return to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he serves as Professor of Engineering Systems and Director of the Center for Transportation Studies. Sheffi has been on a leave of absence from the Institute.
John Lanigan told reporters he expects Logistics.com, based in Burlington, Mass., to become profitable in the coming year.
