Bergstrom Climate Systems has purchased BorgWarner’s Kysor-Westran division.
The acquisition "significantly strengthens Bergstrom’s capabilities in serving our growing customer base," said David Rydell, the company’s president.
Both companies make mobile climate systems and components for the truck, agricultural, off-highway, specialty vehicle, trailer support, and aftermarket industries in North America and Europe. Bergstrom, headquartered in Rockford, Ill., has operations in Rockford and Joliet, Ill; Birmingham, England; and Changzhou, China. Kysor-Westran has operations in Byron, Ill., and Carefully, South Wales. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
