Plans to build a 24-hour truckstop in Bossier Parish, La., have some area residents concerned about the possibilities of traffic congestion, noise pollution and all-night gambling.

According to the Baton Rouge Advocate, the truckstop is set to be built at the Haughton exit on Interstate 20.
Truckstops can legally run video poker casinos in Louisiana, and that's just what the Rev. Melton Prothrof the First Baptist Church, is expecting.
"We know a truckstop means video poker and congestion of the highway,"
Prothro told the paper.
Construction of the planned Pilot Travel Center is expected to begin by December with an opening date set for April.
