Lake City International Trucks has relocated its Utah operations to Salt Lake City, officially opening its doors yesterday.
Company officials say the new truck sales, rental and servicing facility now offers more immediate access to all of northern Utah's freeways and transportation corridors, including I-80, I-215, I-15, major north-south and east-west railways and the Salt Lake City International Airport.
The new 113,000-square-foot Lake City dealership consists of three separate buildings and a long list of divisions, departments, functions and services. The main building includes a quick lube center, digital alignment machine, 28 trailer service bays and a 5-ton electrical crane. The other two buildings consist of a lease and rental space and a body and detail Shop.
Other features include a driver's lounge with high-speed T-1 Internet connection, cable TV, showers, laundry facilities and a complimentary refreshment bar. A 28-seat theater-style room is available for new truck demonstrations, employee training and multi-media presentations.
