Dick Simon Trucking, Salt Lake City, will be installing Air-Weigh on-board truck scales in 1,275 new Utility 3000R trailers to be delivered through December 2001.
The AW5700 Trailer ComLink scale is being installed as a factory pre-calibrated weight display at the new Clearfield, Utah, Utility Trailer plant.
With Air-Weigh truck scales, the drivers can check their weight right at the loading
terminal, before heading straight to the interstate. On-board scales help drivers make sure a maximized load is legally distributed over the axles.
The Air-Weigh Trailer ComLink scale has its own trailer-mounted display, so drivers can monitor the weight being transferred as the trailer tandems are being slid forward or backward.
