CNF's Con-Way Central Express, an LTL carrier based in Palo Alto, Calif., recently opened a new service center in the Rochester, N.Y., metropolitan area to handle an increase in freight volume.

The 26,000-square-foot facility in Chili, N.Y., can handle four times as much freight as the previous facility, which was located in Rochester, said spokesman Joseph DeLuca.
The new facility opened yesterday and has 37 employees. Con-Way said it expects to hire more workers in the next few years.
