@Track Communications of Richardson, Texas, providers of HighwayMaster 5000 mobile communications and TrackWare trailer-tracking products, reported a net loss of $2.8 million on revenues of $28 million for the third quarter of 2000.
However, the per-share loss was less in the most recent quarter than in the third quarter of 1999.
"As was the case in the 2000 second quarter, financial results for the third quarter were well in line with our expectations," said Jana Ahlfinger Bell, president and CEO. "This quarter's results were considerably improved from the 2000 second quarter, as we experienced a 26 percent growth in total revenues."
@Track recently announced that it has more than 60,000 mobile communications units in service on its wireless network.
