Terion Acquires Cargo Sensing Technology

Terion, Melbourne, Fla., a mobile communications provider to fleets, has acquired technology for the detection and measurement of cargo in a trailer.

The “acoustic volumetric sensor,” purchased from Randtec, Fairfax, Va., will be offered as an option with Terion’s FleetView trailer-tracking service.
According to Terion, the acoustic volumetric sensor will round the FleetView trailer tracking product by providing cargo sensing for virtually all trailer configurations and uses.
