The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has awarded a contact to Baker Heavy and Highway Inc. to construct a new highway alignment for route 22/322, located five miles north of Harrisburg. The alignment also includes a major interchange with route 225 west of Dauphin Borough. The overall project is expected to be finished in 2001, and work on the Dauphin bypass will be open for traffic by the end of 1999.
