Maverick Transportation is said to be the first customer to fully implement Qualcomm’s CabCard personal communications system throughout its entire company.
CabCard is a pre-paid service which provides discounted long-distance phone rates, voice-mail capabilities and driver e-mail. The system also allows Internet e-mail to be sent and received directly from the truck cab using the OmniTracs mobile communications terminal.
