Landstar Implements Interactive Voice Response System

Landstar has introduced its state-of-the-art, multi-model Interactive Voice Response and Electronic Carrier Information systems.
The IVR system uses captured telecommunications technology to provide real time pickup, delivery, check call, load status and distress call information for all modes of transportation. The data is then available for inquiry by office, field, partner carriers and customers.
The ECIS system allows partner carriers to electronically add or inquire on available Logistics shipments, freight bill data and add or delete trucks. System provides data on delivered and in-transit loads, and also displays settlement information on freight bill payments. Security precautions ensure all carrier data is restricted to specific User ID only.
