Eaton has released the newest course in the expanding Roadranger System Technician Certification program.

Course TE2C prepares technicians for diagnosis and repair of the Generation II models of the Eaton Fuller AutoShift line of automated mechanical transmissions.
The course consists of over two hours of fully narrated, self-paced instruction on components, systems operation, driver operation, preventive maintenance, repair/overhaul and diagnostics. Along with hundreds of graphics, text and animations screens, the program includes interactive student exercises and section examinations, electronic versions of all applicable service publications and over 20 minutes of digital video on driver operation.
A course management module is built into the program that individually tracks the progress of an unlimited number of students. This allows the course to be used by an individual or loaded onto a network for use by multiple technicians at a truck fleet, dealership or training institution.
When the technician has completed the 19 instructional sections and 26 student exercises, they are given an intensive, open-book final examination. After successful completion of the examination, their individual encrypted student records file is forwarded to Eaton Corp.’s Truck Components Operations Technician Records Center. A course completion certificate is issued after the student records database is updated.
The training program requires Pentium 166 megahertz or higher CPU with 32MB of RAM, Windows 95/98 or NT, an 8X or higher CD-ROM, a 3-1/2-inch floppy drive, a 16-bit sound card and video resolution of 800x600 or greater.
