The downturn in truck sales has forced an Atlanta-based trailer manufacturer to hire a turnaround firm to help restructure its company.

Dorsey Trailers announced that it has hired The Recovery Group, a crisis management and turnaround-consulting firm, to assist in a restructuring.
Dorsey CEO John L. Pugh said the company has been hit by a "precipitous decline" in demand for trailers due to higher fuel and interest costs and driver shortages.
Pugh added that The Recovery Group is working with Dorsey’s management team to take a look at all actions necessary to improve their operating performance.
Dorsey has three plants in Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina.
