A group of truck driver training schools has formed the Commercial Vehicle Training Assn., a Washington DC-based organization designed to improve training for entry level commercial drivers.
The association will offer training programs at more than 30 locations throughout the U.S. and Canada, will likely partner with public agencies, fleets and training institutions to create curriculum to produce fully qualified drivers. The Commercial Vehicle Training Assn. expects to work with the Department of Transportation, Driver Training and Development Alliance, Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, American Trucking Assns. and the Professional Truck Driving Institute of America.
