TruckersB2B announced that the number of trucking companies using its discount fuel network in August increased to 2,150, or approximately 73,000 trucks. This compares with 37 companies and some 2,200 trucks in March, the first month of operations for TruckersB2B.
TruckersB2B is an Internet-based provider of pre-negotiated savings on fuel, tires, freight finding, insurance, equipment and other products and services for small to medium-sized fleets. According to Bob Helms, president and CEO, TruckersB2B is expanding into the motorcoach market.
The first major trucking buying co-op on the Internet, TruckersB2B is a subsidiary of Celadon Group, Indianapolis.
