The top indicators of the value of used aerodynamic highway sleeper tractors are mileage, model year and engine horsepower,
according to a pricing model developed for International Truck & Engine. Sleeper size has negligible impact.
In remarks at last week's Used Truck & Trailer Blue Book Seminar, Roger Sherwood, manager, pricing and distribution of the company's Used Truck Organization, said the model found that additional indicators, from most to least important, are: truck make, fifth wheel, engine brake, number of aluminum wheels, aerodynamic package, engine make and classic look.
