East Penn Manufacturing, Lyon Station, Pa., has been honored with the Freightliner Corp.'s Masters of Quality Supplier award.
East Penn manufactures the flooded starting and deep cycle battery and the gel battery for Freightliner. As a second year recipient of the award, East Penn performed at a satisfactory level in seven critical audits conducted by Freightliner work groups. They also received high marks from corporate purchasing agents in Freightliner's semi-annual supplier evaluation review process done each fall.
