Myron P. "Mike" Shevell, Chairman and CEO of New England Motor Freight (NEMF), has received the coveted Salzberg Medallion from Syracuse University.

The university's School of Management awards the Salzberg Medallions annually to outstanding practitioners, advocates, academics or researchers in the field of transportation, distribution and logistics management.
Shevell, a resident of Elberon, NJ, was previously honored as 1999 Master Entrepreneur in the New Jersey Region Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. In addition to his duties at NEMF, Shevell is also chairman of the Shevell Group of real estate, trucking and logistics companies, which includes Carrier Industries, Easter Freight Ways, Apex Logistics, NEMF World Transport and NEMF of Canada.
NEMF is a regional, family-owned LTL carrier based in Elizabeth, NJ. The company operates 30 terminals throughout the Northeast, Florida, Puerto Rico and Canada.
