A National Labor Relations Board hearing to review unfair labor practices charges against Overnite Transportation has been delayed.

The hearing, originally scheduled for May 8 in Memphis, TN, has been postponed until June 19. The hearing is a consolidation of 25 individual charges focusing on the alleged unlawful firing of Overnite workers who supported the union.
According to the Teamsters, this is the first complaint to go to a hearing based in part on the affidavit of the former Memphis Overnite supervisor that started the union's six-month-old unfair labor practices strike. Dale Watson alleged that he was ordered to single out union supporters for disciplinary action and eventual firing.
