The Nebraska State Patrol's carrier enforcement division conducted surprise inspections of commercial vehicles at two separate locations Tuesday and Wednesday.
About 140 inspections in Kearney, Neb. resulted in 490 violations and more than $10,000 in fines, according to the Associated Press. Officers enforced laws relating to weight, size, registration and permits associated with commercial vehicles.
