Nominations are being sought for the Marvin F. Gordon Lifetime Achievement Award which recognizes individuals who have made numerous and significant contributions to the used truck industry.
The award is sponsored by the Used Truck Association (UTA), a service-oriented, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting those involved with the used truck industry.
To be eligible for the award - a large, specially-designed piece of cut glass - the nominee must:
1. Have a proven career record of accomplishments within the used truck industry.
2. Have demonstrated his capacity for maintaining the highest business practices and standards.
3. Advance the goals and objectives promoted by the UTA, which include being a leader in promoting professionalism in the used truck industry.
Nominations for the Marvin F. Gordon Lifetime Achievement Award may come from anyone, including the nominee. Membership in the UTA is not a requirement.
The Used Truck Association created the award to recognize and commemorate Gordon's extraordinary accomplishments and his lifetime achievement in the used truck industry.
Gordon was the first recipient of the award, presented last year.
This year's award will be presented during the UTA's inaugural convention, taking place Oct. 26-28 near Orlando, FL. The theme of that convention is: "Turning Problems Into Profits: Managing Your Way Through An Oversupplied Used Truck Market."
To request an official nomination form, or for more information, contact the UTA at (410) 602-2470, or visit its web site at www.uta.org.
