Starting May 15, Volvo's redesigned web site at www.volvotrucks.com will make it easier for customers to spec a truck online.

Customers can choose a truck from Volvo's MVP (Most Valuable Package) Program with just seven clicks of the mouse. Customers click on the "Spec it out!" icon on the main menu. The next screen asks a few questions about the truck's application and which truck or tractor model is desired. After selecting a model, the customer chooses specific equipment from a list of available options. A calculator automatically adds up the options and gives the price of the truck. The specs can then be printed and taken to a local dealer, or the order can be submitted directly online to the dealer of their choice.
Visitors to the site will also find product, service and dealer location information, facts about special programs and current promotional offerings, and a forum to communicate with Volvo and with others in the industry.
Future plans for the site include the ability to search the inventory of Volvo's more than 200 dealer locations, a 3-D virtual vehicle walkaround, and the purchase of everything from vehicle insurance and replacement parts to Volvo attire.
