Roadway Express, Akron, OH, has launched its new Windows-based, Web-enabled version of ExpressWORKS, its software for the less-than-truckload industry.
Now upgraded from the DOS platform to the Windows environment, ExpressWORKS offers simplified installation and operation. The software package, distributed on CD-ROM, combines shipment information and tracking technology.
Integrating PC software and Web applications, the program houses two modules on the desktop -- Bill of Lading and Rate Quotes, while a direct link to my.roadway.com gives customers the ability to track shipments, view open invoices and check claim status at any time. An interactive
tutorial teaches shippers how to create bills of lading, run rate quotes and create databases.
