The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance will hold ten more Roadside Inspection Familiarization Seminars around the country this year.

During the seminars instructors review all steps necessary for a commercial vehicle to pass a roadside inspection and earn a CVSA decal.
"Anyone who attends this seminar will learn how to detect all safety related defects on a truck and take steps to prevent them from occuring while the truck is operating on the highway," said Steve Campbell, CVSA's executive director. "Most importantly, it will reduce the likelihood of a crash."
Campell also pointed out that the information gained at the seminar will help reduce expensive roadside downtime and improve a carrier's overall safety record, thus reducing the likelihood of future enforcement actions such as federal or state regulatory compliance reviews.
The cost of the full-day seminar is $200. Registration is open to fleet owners, safety and risk managers, company drivers, owner-operators, and maintenance managers.
Meetings are scheduled for Mar. 29, Joplin, MO; May 1, Lakeland, FL; May 25, Toronto, ON; June 28, Everett, WA; July 13, Manchester, CT; August 14, New Orleans, LA; Sept. 7, Eagan, MN; Oct. 2, Atlanta, GA; Nov. 6, Temple, TX; and Dec. 4, Las Lunas, NM.
