American Isuzu Motors Inc. broke records in January by selling 947 medium-duty trucks in the U.S., or 51% more than the 627 units sold during the same month a year earlier.

January sales of the company's Class 3-4 NPR diesels advanced by 61% and sales of NQR-model Class 5 trucks increased by 70%, while FRR-model Class 5 truck turnover expanded by 160%.
American Isuzu sells Classes 3-7 medium-duty trucks through 205 commercial vehicle dealers in the United States. Isuzu-branded trucks are built in Japan and at a General Motors Corp. (GM) truck plant in Janesville, Wis. GM, a leading truck-maker in North America, holds a 49 per cent stake in Isuzu Motors.
