CSI-Maximus has introduced a new fleet maintenance software package which combines the power of a mainframe application with the ease of Internet access and offers fixed costs and performance guarantees.

The FEAi software is designed to allow fleets to extend automation into other areas of their operation. The system can be deployed over the Internet or over a fleet's own intranet network. It can be configured to run in a client/server computing environment or in a browser-based environment based on Microsoft Distributed Network Architecture (DNA) using XML-based technology and will work with Sequel Server, Oracle, and DB2 databases.
VehiCare, a provider of mobile fleet maintenance services, has committed to using FEAi in its operations. It will have 24-hour access to the system over a secure network and receive a flat monthly bill for hosting services. The company has a total fleet of over 24,000 units based out of 20 maintenance facilities and expects to cut communications costs by two thirds.
