USF Holland, a unit of USFreightways, has opened a new, full-service terminal in Pontiac, MI.

Located on 30 acres, the 30,000-square-foot terminal has 80 dock doors with space to add another 20 doors.
USF Holland, based in Holland, MI, has seen its Detroit-area business grow rapidly during recent years. The Pontiac terminal will substantially increase capacity, operating efficiency, and equipment availability within the market. Customers located in the Pontiac service area will benefit from next-day service as far south as Nashville, TN; as far east as Rochester, NY; as far west as St. Louis, MO; and as far north as Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The new terminal is part of an ongoing infrastructure investment program begun by USF Holland in 1997. Since the program began, more than 20 new terminals or facility improvements have been completed within the USF Holland network. Within the next six months, the company says, new terminals will be opened in Joliet, IL, and Erie, PA. New facilities will replace existing terminals in Columbus, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Louisville, KY, Nashville, TN, and Rock Island, IL.
