Nissan Motor and its truckmaking unit, Nissan Diesel, will inject $425 million into the truck maker's sales company to help prop up the ailing truck and bus manufacturer, reports the Financial Times.

Nissan Diesel has been hit hard by a sharp drop in truck sales in Asia in recent years. The company has revised its profits forecast downward significantly, predicting significant losses rather than the previously expected zero profits.
The announcement did not address what Renault, which owns 22.5% of Nissan, plans to do with its investment in the truck maker.
