Used Truck Salesman Honored

Doug Phillips, center manager of SelecTrucks of Dallas, has been honored with a Professional Recognition Award for his contributions to the used trucking industry and for his community service.
Phillips was named Used Truck Sales Professional of the Year at a June 4 awards luncheon held during this year's Truck Blue Book Used Truck Seminar in Nashville, TN. The award goes to those individuals who demonstrate superior sales and business skills, contribute to the credibility and growth of their profession and are actively involved in their community.
The annual recognition is jointly sponsored by Truck Sales & Leasing Magazine and the Truck Blue Book used truck value guide.
A native of Tulia, TX, Phillips has spent 20 years in the truck business. He began his career as a truck equipment salesman in Central Texas and then went to work for a Ford Trucks dealership.
Phillips has been described by those who know him as a "consummate professional" in all aspects of truck sales and sales management. He has completed a variety of sales training and development programs, won a number of sales awards and served on several industry groups and committees.
