Con-Way Offers New Guarantee
Beginning Feb. 1, Con-Way Transportation Services will offer customers a new service option that guarantees delivery by a certain transit time schedule
Beginning Feb. 1, Con-Way Transportation Services will offer customers a new service option that guarantees delivery by a certain transit time schedule.
Called Con-Way Guaranteed, the new service offers an automatic 100% delivery guarantee. “It’s on time or it’s on us,” said Gerald Detter, president and CEO of Con-Way.
The premium service will cost 20% more than regular base rates, added to the customer’s existing discounted price.
“Con-Way Guaranteed will give our customers peace of mind without the high cost of expediting and no loss of discounted pricing,” Detter said.
Determination of on-time service will be based on the standard transit time published on the Con-Way web site (http://www.con-way.com) on the day the shipment is tendered. If Con-Way does not deliver the freight within the standard time, an invoice will be issued with a $0 balance – no need for the customer to ask for a refund.
