Nov. 27 – Interstate 75 through central Kentucky now has three lanes on each side of the highway from Lexington to the Clays Ferry Bridge.

Blasting, which has tied up traffic more than once, is finished, and only minor median work remains. Most of the work has been finished or put on hold until after the winter months.
A nearly $40 million project to widen I-75 between the Clays Ferry Bridge and the Richmond bypass is expected to be completed by summer, including paving and reconstruction of a southern exit to Richmond. Also watch out during the coming year for the widening of I-75 between Richmond and Berea, along with rebuilding and improvements at rest stops in Berea next year.
