Women In Trucking Association and Truckstop.com are seeking nominations for the 2018 Distinguished Woman in Logistics Award, recognizing the achievements and leadership of outstanding individuals in logistics in North America.

Anyone may nominate a candidate by completing and submitting the nomination form online by Feb. 12, 2018. Click here to nominate someone.

The DWLA program is open to high-performing women in any field related to logistics, including supply chain management, third-party logistics, and trucking. The 2017 DWLA recipient was Andra Rush, chairwoman and CEO of Rush Trucking Corp., CEO and president of Dakkota Integrated Systems, and chairwoman, CEO and president of Detroit Manufacturing Systems.

Members of the award selection committee include a representative from WIT, Truckstop.com, Transportation Intermediaries Association, and a university professor. The winner of the 2018 DWLA will be announced during TIA Capital Ideas Conference and Exhibition, April 8-11, in Palm Desert, Calif.

“WIT’s mission includes celebrating the success of women who are forerunners in the industry,” said Ellen Voie, president and CEO, Women In Trucking Association. “The Distinguished Woman in Logistics award allows us an opportunity to honor someone who has gone above and beyond her role in supply chain management and is both a role model and a pioneer in the industry.” 

Women In Trucking Association is a nonprofit association established to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments and minimize obstacles faced by women working in the trucking industry.
