Mid-America Trucking Show 2018 in Photos, Day 1

Thursday morning dawned clear, but at 7:30, crews were still clearing snowbanks and salting the icy parking lot. Photo by Jim Park.

Attendance seemed good for the first day of the Mid-America Trucking Show 2018, which got underway at 10 a.m. March 22. Absent this year were several of the truck and trailer makers and a few of the major Tier 1 suppliers, but showgoers didn't seem to mind too much, at least not that we heard.

Ford's 2019 Transit Connect Cargo Van

The 2019 Transit Connect cargo van will offer three engines that can run five fuel types.

Ford's 2019 Transit Connect compact cargo van is adding a diesel engine option, fleet model, and array of driver-assisting features to reduce accidents for commercial users.
