In partnership with Garmin, GPS tracking andd fleet management provider Teletrac Navman has added its Drive app suite to Garmin devices.

The Garmin Fleet 670 mobile devices will now support Teletrac’s Drive app suite, which brings fleet management, safety and compliance software to Garmin’s navigation device.

“Our customers rely on us to keep them compliant, especially now that the FMCSA Electronic Logging Device Final Rule has been officially published,” said Sid Nair, senior director of transport and compliance at Teletrac Navman. “Drive on Garmin 670 does this and more, seamlessly connecting the back office to the trucks; putting fleet owners in the driver's seat."

Teletrac Navman Drive focuses on daily customer workflows like in-cab communication, dispatching, routing and navigation. Drive also offers compliance features such as hours of service and driver vehicle inspection reports.

The Garmin 670’s hardware is designed for in-cab commercial truck use with a dust-proof design, high-sensitivity GPS, extra loud speaker and a sunlight-readable, 6-inch capacitive touchscreen.

“We are pleased to partner with Teletrac Navman to provide support for their Drive app suite on our Fleet 670,” said Chad Sallman, Garmin senior business development manager for commercial solutions. “The combination of our hardware with their robust fleet management software will undoubtedly and reliably simplify and optimize fleet logistics."
