The Ford F-650/750 has been named Work Truck magazine’s annual Medium-Duty Truck of the Year. The award was presented to John Ruppert, general manager - Commercial Vehicle Sales & Marketing at Ford Motor Company, by Work Truck's Editor Mike Antich at a ceremony during the NTEA Work Truck Show.

"Commercial customers trust Ford trucks more than any other brand," said John Ruppert, general manager, Ford Commercial Vehicle Sales & Marketing. "We’re proud this award recognizes our F-650/F-750 team’s commitment to delivering our toughest, best value, and most upfit friendly medium-duty trucks ever."

The Ford F-650/750 was chosen by the readers of Work Truck magazine from a field of 12 trucks.

"The F-650/F-750 is ideally suited for vocational fleets with a choice of three cabs, includingRegular Cab, SuperCab, and Crew Cab, along with two new tractor models, which have been well received in a variety of fleet segments, such as the construction, landscape, and beverage industries," said Antich. "The availability of diesel, gasoline, and gaseous prep packages creates versatility for any fleet application."

Started in 2008, voters are asked to evaluate the trucks on which models best fit their fleet requirements, including application effectiveness, durability, quality, servicing, maintenance, and lifecycle costs.
