American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council will hold its 2015 Fall Meeting TMCSuperTech technician skills competition on Sept. 21-25 at the Walt Disney Swan & Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Fla.

The Fall Meeting will have the theme Maintenance Today, Profit Tomorrow and will focus on the environmental, economic and regulatory challenges facing the industry.

The TMCSuperTech will be an opportunity to showcase the role of technicians within the industry and offers a chance for them to learn about the latest trends in trucking.

The TMC Fall Meeting will feature technical sessions covering topics like troubleshooting aftertreatment systems, electronic driver vehicle inspections and cybersecurity. It will also include smaller educational sessions on things like recruiting and mentorship to fuel system management and electronic issues.

There will be more than 100 task forces that will meet on opening day to work on recommended practices, information reports and position papers.

TMC’s annual Fleet Talk will provide the opportunity for maintenance and equipment professionals to talk about related equipment problems. During the Town Meeting, the TMC Fleet Operators Forum will give the fleet executives a chance to address unresolved equipment issues they may have with manufacturers.

TMC’s annual Industry Luncheon speaker will be Kenny Vieth, president and senior analyst for ACT Research, where he focuses on the heavy-truck and trailer markets.

In addition to the TMCSuperTech2015 Technician Skills Competition, ATA will be expanding its National Student Technician Competition, TMCFutureTech 2015. The winners of both competitions will be announced at the TMCSuperTech 2015 Awards Luncheon, which is open to both contestants and meeting attendees.
