As many as 40 persons were injured when an AmTrak passenger train collided with commercial truck that was on the tracks in North Carolina today, according to a report from ABC News.

The train was traveling from Charlotte to New York when it struck the truck at a grade crossing about 30 miles north of Rocky Mount, N.C.

Video from the scene of the collision shows what appears to be at least one derailed passenger car sitting on its side and debris from the truck scattered across the road.

So far, no deaths have been reported and emergency crews are still at the scene.

This is the second such collision since late February between a passenger train. A similar incident in Southern California with a Metrolink train killed the train's engineer and injured 28 persons.
