PeopleNet announced that Mark Kessler will be the general manager of the company’s newly developed Trucking division. The division will focus on creating products and services to for trucking fleets.

Kessler has been with PeopleNet since 2000 in development, operations, customer service, product development, media and marketing. He has more than 20 years of industry experience having served on the board of directors for the TCA and advisory board for the National Private Truck Council. He has also been on several committees for the ATA.

“The nearly 15 years that Mark has been with PeopleNet, he has made significant contributions to our organization,” said Brian McLaughlin, president of PeopleNet. “He’s a great leader who will be an excellent general manager of the Trucking division.”

Prior to joining PeopleNet, Kessler was an executive at Randall-Reilly Media overseeing many of its transportation media products. He co-founded Trucking Co. Magazine, now the Commercial Carrier Journal, and the Overdrive Truck Stop and Travel Guide. He also co-founded Partners in Business, etrucker.net and TCA’s Commercial Carrier University.

Kessler has a master’s degree in finance and business from Auburn University where he also received his undergraduate degree in international business.
