The Missouri Department of Transportation will close all lanes of I-44 in both directions from Broadway to the Poplar Street Bridge in St. Louis this weekend.

Crews will close the interstate in both directions starting at 8 p.m. Friday, July 11 to place girders over the interstate for the CityArchRiver Park Over the Highway project

All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, July 14.

The Eads Bridge will also be closed from 8 p.m. July 11 to 5 a.m. July 14.

Detour routes for the closures will be marked.

Eastbound I-44 will be detoured up and over the closed portions of northbound Memorial to 3rd Street. Interstate traffic will get back on eastbound I-44 after the Martin Luther King Bridge. Westbound I-44 traffic will detour down Broadway. Traffic heading for southbound I-55 will use Spruce to get to the interstate. Traffic heading for eastbound I-64 will take Gratiot to the 6th Street ramp.
